Quo vadis, Computer in der Frauenheilkunde?

In the departments for gynecology and obstetrics the application of computers is gaining more and more in significance. However, the introduction of information systems is complicated by technical, medical, organizational and social hurdles. A large variety of dedicated systems supporting the documentation, organization or quality assurance of a department has been developed in the past. If all these stand alone systems have to be integrated in one departmental system a careful system analysis should precede their implementation.
