Zusammenfassung
Innerhalb der letzten Dekade hat man im Bereich der Entwicklung von Anwendungssoftware immer mehr die Benutzerschnittstelle von der Anwendung entkoppelt und sie mit grafischen Darstellungsformen und direkt manipulativen Interaktionsformen versehen. Nun können grafische Darstellungsformen in Benutzerschnittstellen auch ohne drrekt manipulative Interaktionsformen existieren, und direkte Manipulation ist wiederum so definiert (z.B. auch nach SHNEIDERMANN 1983), daß sie auch ohne grafische Darstellungsformen im engeren Sinne auskommen kann. Direkte Manipulation auf grafischen Objektwelten kann aber als ganz spezifische Interaktionsform angesehen werden, die spezielle Techniken und Regeln ihrer Anwendung benötigt. Diese Techniken nennen wir hier “Ikon-Techniken”.
