Zusammenfassung

Die „unspezifischen“Infektionen des Urogenitaltraktes sind eine Gruppe von Krankheiten mit ähnlichen Manifestationen, die hauptsächlich durch aerobe gramnegative Keime (z.B. Escherichia coli, Proteus mirabilis), grampositive Kokken (z.B. Staphylokokken, Enterokokken) und in geringem Maße durch anaerobe Bakterien (z.B. Bacteroides fragilis) hervorgerufen werden. Außerdem werden „unspezifische“Infektionen der Harnröhre häufig auch durch Organismen hervorgerufen, bei denen spezielle Untersuchungsmethoden notwendig sind (z.B. Chlamydien, Mykoplasmen und Haemophilus vaginalis). Von diesen „nicht-spezifischen“Infektionen unterscheidet man „spezifische“Infektionen, die durch Organismen hervorgerufen werden, die nur ein festumschriebenes Krankheitsbild verursachen (z.B. Tuberkulose, Gonorrhö, Aktinomykose).
