Zusammenfassung

Harnwegsobstruktionen und Stauungen gehören zu den wichtigsten Störungen im urologischen Fachbereich, da sie zur Schädigung der Nierenfunktion führen können. Das Endstadium ist schließlich eine Hydronephrose, ein besonderer Typ der atrophischen Niere, die zur völligen Niereninsuffizienz führen oder bei einseitigem Auftreten eine vollständige Zerstörung des Organs bewirken kann. Darüber hinaus begünstigen Obstruktionen häufig Infektionen, die die beteiligten Organe zusätzlich schädigen.
