Summary

In the past, Scheimpflug photography has been applied only to questions of cataract pathogenesis and epidemiology and in clinical and experimental studies on pharmacology and toxicology. The clinician wishing to dealve further into cataract and implant surgery should not neglect this method, especially when one considers that it can be rapidly and economically expanded, and its technical and biometric capabilities upgraded, by the application of on-line densitometry. Examples are presented.
