Abstract
Breast cancer is the commonest cancer among females in the countries of the European Community. The incidence of breast cancer within Europe varies from an annual, ageadjusted rate per 100,000 of 34.7 in Zaragoza (Spain) to the highest rate of 71.6 in Eindhoven in The Netherlands.
