Abstract
There are very few indicators which may as genuinely be used to demonstrate the level of welfare of a community, as the availability of pure and clean air to breathe for the people. Air pollution, however, is not only a social welfare indicator, it is also one of the most important interdisciplinary problems endangering our environment. Therefore, it deserves to be treated with its causes, effects and control techniques.
