Zusammenfassung

Die Etablierung der Technik der Nucleinsäure-Hybridisierung Mitte der sechziger Jahre durch Gillespie und Spiegelman [1] sowie Denhardt [2] machte es möglich, mit Hilfe von sequenzspezifischen Hybridisierungs- sonden bestimmte Nucleinsäure-Abschnitte neben einer Vielzahl anderer, sequenzverschiedener Abschnitte gezielt nachweisen und analysieren zu können [3, 4]. Gemeinsam mit den Ende der siebziger Jahre durch Maxam und Gilbert [5] sowie Sanger und Mitarbeiter [6] entwickelten Methoden der DNA-Sequenzierung — die in den letzten Jahren auf nicht-radioaktive Verfahren umgestellt wurden [7, 8] — bildet die Hybridisierungs- technik eines der beiden Standbeine der molekularen Nucleinsäure- Analyse.
