Nonlinear Optical Devices for Photonic Switching

Abstract

Recent developments in nonlinear optical switching devices with fast response times are reviewed. Examples are etalon-type semiconductor devices of super-lattice and doped glass materials, ultrafast glass fiber switches, and organic switches.
