Ordering Process Below the Pre-transition Temperature in Multilamellar Lipid Solutions

Abstract

Small-angle scattering studies of X-rays and neutrons on multilamellar lipid solutions quenched from the middle temperature phase to low temperature phase show a relaxation process of a simultaneous ordering of new structure and decaying of old structure having the same relaxation time, which depends on the quenched-in temperature.
