Abstract
Brain tumours are not uncommon: primary tumours of the central nervous system account for 9% of all malignant diseases, and as much as 20% of all paediatric neoplasms [1]. On top of this can be added the tumours metastatic to brain, which may develop in 12%–40% of all patients with solid tumours [2], as well as a lower percentage for the haematological malignancies [3].
