Zusammenfassung

Seit 15 Jahren sind neben der Hepatitis A und der Hepatitis B weitere durch Viren übertragene Hepatitiden bekannt, die in Unkenntnis des Erregers mit dem Namen Nicht-A-Nicht-B-Hepatitis (HNANB) bezeichnet werden. Das gehäufte Auftreten einer Form der HNANB nach Bluttransfusionen machte eine parenterale Übertragung wahrscheinlich (HNANB-P) [6]. Neben dieser parenteral, durch Blut oder Blutprodukte, übertragenen HNANB-P ist inzwischen auch der Erreger einer wahrscheinlich fäkal-oral übertragenen Hepatitis Nicht-A-Nicht-B (HNANB-E) charakterisiert worden, die zuerst in Indien und später in der UdSSR beschrieben worden ist [1]. Es handelt sich dabei wahrscheinlich um ein Calizivirus [11], für das der Name HEV vorgeschlagen wurde und das hier nicht näher erläutert werden soll. Die neue Einteilung der Virus-hepatitiden und ihrer Erreger ist in Tabelle 1 zusammengestellt.
