Zusammenfassung
Im Anschluß an die rechtsmedizinische Untersuchung eines Erhängungstodes mit freiem Fall aus 4 m Höhe wurden die physikalischen Größen des als Strangwerkzeug verwendeten Perlonseiles untersucht und die am Hals auftretenden Kräfte bei der Erhängung bestimmt.
Summary
A 33-year-old man committed suicide by jumping from a height of 4 m with a 12-mm-thick Perlon rope around his neck. The force of the tightening loop nearly severed the head from the body. Some physical properties of the rope were measured and calculated. The significance of these properties is discussed in connection with a reconstruction of the incident.
