Peripheral Nerve Lesions

Abstract

The centrocentral anastomosis (CCA) can be defined as an end-to-end microsuture among the fascicles of the central stump of a severed peripheral nerve, with an interposed autologous nerve graft between each pair of fascicles. This technique was developed by Samii [4,5] in an attempt to reduce the size of terminal neuromas and subsequentely to achieve control of neuroma and postamputation pain.
