Der thoracolumbale Übergang ist die häufigste Lokalisation von Frakturen der Wirbelsäule. Überlegungen zur Stabilität und Bio-mechanik dieser Verletzungen beruhen häufig auf der Einteilung nach McAFEE und DENIS (1), die ein 3-Säulenschema entwickelten.
