Zusammenfassung
Trophoblasttumoren lassen sich zwanglos in die Gruppe gestörter Frühschwan-gerschaften einreihen, handelt es sich dabei doch letztlich um fehlgesteuerte Wucherungen von Trophoblastgewebe. Möglicherweise ist das uns als „Windei“ bekannte Phänomen eine degenerative Vorstufe eines Trophoblasttumors. Es ist bislang noch völlig ungeklärt, welche immunologischen Faktoren verantwortlich sind für die in Einzelfällen auftretende Dysbalance zwischen Trophoblastgewebe und Wirtsorganismus, die dann zum unkontrollierten Tumorwachstum führt. Sowohl aus morphologischer Sicht als auch aufgrund klinischer Daten hat sich die Unterteilung der Trophoblasttumoren in 3 Formen als sinnvoll erwiesen:

Blasenmole,

invasive oder destruierende Mole,

Chorionkarzinom.
