Zusammenfassung
Der in allen Industriestaaten zu beobachtende Wandel im Reproduktionsverhalten dokumentiert sich nicht nur in einer Beschränkung der Kinderzahl, sondern vor allem in einer sorgfältigen zeitlichen Planung der Schwangerschaften. Das hat dazu geführt, daß vielen Paaren mit Kinderwunsch nicht mehr bewußt ist, daß eine Fehlgeburt ein natürliches Ereignis darstellt. Als Folge hiervon wird nicht selten bereits ein erster Abort nicht nur als ein persönliches schmerzhaftes Geschehen, sondern als eine klinisch zu wertende Störung betrachtet, die einer weiteren Diagnostik bedarf. Da die gynäkologische Ursachenabklärung häufig unbefriedigend bleibt, wird zunehmend auch eine humangenetische Diagnostik und Beratung empfohlen.
