Abstract
In fractures of the anterior column of the acetabulum (Judet and Letournel 1960) a segment of variable size is separated from a sector of the bone extending from the middle of the ischio-pubic ramus below, to any point above as far backward as the mid-point of the iliac crest. This description has contributed to the basis of our fundamental concept of the architecture of the acetabulum (see Fig. 1.1).
