Abstract
In 1986 and 1987 sediment samples were taken every four weeks (except during ice periods) from the upper and lower eulittoral zone of eight stations in the Elbe estuary. The sampling area comprised the tidal flats bordering the river between the city of Hamburg and the North Sea including the freshwater-, oligo- and mesohaline section.
