Clinical Experience with Bifonazole/Urea

  • Conference paper

Abstract

The desire for conservative but effective alternatives to the surgical treatment of the onychomycoses has been increasingly expressed by patients. The aesthetic aspect of the “healthy nail” now plays a part not to be underestimated in the time devoted to various leisure activities, so that those affected visit the doctor either spontaneously or at the instigation of relatives in the health professions. On account of the proneness of onychomycosis to recurrence, some of these patients have already been exposed to surgical methods of treatment and this group is particularly grateful for conservative alternatives in the management of mycotically infected nails.
