Abstract

In recent years, the diagnosis of pancreatic diseases has been greatly facilitated by the introduction of several functional and imaging techniques into the clinic. Duodenal intubation, a test which is more than 50 years old, is being performed less and less frequently, mainly because of its complexity. The topic I will address in this communication is: does duodenal intubation still have a valid role in the diagnosis of chronic pancreatitis?
