Solitons and Spectral Transform for the Kadomtsev-Petviashvili Equation
A new spectral transform for the Kadomtsev-Petviashvili equation allows us to include wave solitons in the theory of the Inverse Spectral Transform. The Cauchy problem is completely solved. The orthogonality relations for the eigenfunctions of the associated time dependent Schrödinger equation are obtained.
