Zusammenfassung
Beim alloarthroplastischen Hüftgelenkersatz stellt die Infektion die ernsteste Komplikation hinsichtlich Morbidität, Mortalität und Behandlungskosten dar. Die Häufigkeit von Infektionen nach Erstimplantation einer TEP des Hüftgelenkes wird zwischen 1 und 2% angegeben [3, 6, 16, 19]. Eine wesentlich höhere Infektionsrate ist nach Revisions- oder Austauschoperationen des Kunstgelenkes nachzuweisen [11, 17].
