Abstract
The late postoperative results of conventional disc surgery are frequently moderate or poor due to the consequent narrowing of the intervertebral space and intervertebral foramen [8], secondary incongruities and osteoarthrotic changes of facet joints [13], and alteration of the kinetic center [12] with more or less painful instability of the movable spinal segment.
