Zusammenfassung
Unter „Zytoskelett“ im weitesten Sinne versteht man das dreidimensionale Netzwerk aus Zellkern, Organellen, intrazytoplasmatischen Filamenten und Membranstrukturen einer Zelle. Faßt man die Definition enger, so wird mit diesem Begriff das komplexe Geflecht intrazytoplasmatischer Filamente benannt, die durch Puffer mit nichtionischen Detergentien nicht extrahierbar sind (Weber u. Osborn 1982).
