Abstract
Numerica is one of the few chemical information systems that has been designed to be utilized by end users and information specialists alike. TDS adopted this policy to help subscribers with diverse backgrounds search for the unique factual information which Numerica can provide. We believe that a terse but informative user interface can be as important to the quality of the search results as a knowledge of chemistry and an understanding of the purpose of the query.
