Abstract

The examination of the hip joint is included in the examination of the LPH region because of the overlap of symptoms involving disturbances of the SIJ and lumbar spine. The indications for examination of the hip joint include:

  • — A history of hip and groin pain

  • — Limitation of internal rotation and abduction of the hip (capsular pattern)

  • — Pain on percussion of the greater trochanter
