Abstract

Many studies of tit populations (Parus spp.) have been carried out over many years in Europe. In these studies different aspects of tit biology have been analysed in an ecological and evolutionary perspective. The extension to Portugal of such studies which were developed long ago in the atlantic and mediterranean contexts may bring new and interesting insight to the analysis of existing data.
