Zusammenfassung
Ovulationshemmer enthalten synthetische Östrogene und Gestagene. In den heute gebräuchlichen Präparaten sind vorwiegend 2 Östrogene, nämlich das Äthinylöstradiol und das Mestranol, enthalten. Eine nicht geringe Anzahl von Gestagenen mit verschiedener chemischer Struktur werden weltweit verwendet. Noch vor Jahren wurde die Wirkung der beiden Östrogene - Äthinylöstradiol und Mestranol — im Verhältnis 2:1 beurteilt. Heute ist man der Ansicht, daß beide Östrogene gleich wirksam sind (Franchimont et al. 1972, Goldzieher et al. 1975a, b, c, Teter u. Stupnicki 1971).
