Abstract
The main goal of this panel discussion was to analyze conflicting objectives in the design of software implementing Multiple Critieria Decision Making (MCDM) methods. A synopsis of the proposed scope of the meeting, presented in Appendix 1, was distributed in advance to the participants of the NATO Advanced Study Institute. Two of the panelists, Professors Tuncay Saydam and Tawfik Jelassi, were invited to prepare presentations, respectively, on the structural model of a software design process and MCDM software development by small teams, respectively. A list of attendees is given in Appendix 2.
