Abstract
In order to ascertain the types and numbers of physically handicapped students as well as their level of physical fitness and motor ability in the junior middle schools, Taiwan, Republic of China, I carried out this study in 1973. I constructed a percentile norm table of physical fitness and motor ability for the convenience of teachers of special physical education classes to rate the score of physical education for each handicap. In 1986, I carried out the same work in order to compare the current status with that in 1973 and to revise all percentile norm tables. A total of 464 schools with 758 857 students were investigated, from which 86 schools were selected to carry out the tests.
