Zusammenfassung

Seit der Beschreibung von Jaffe (1935) ist das Osteoidosteom eine morphologische Entität. Der für das Krankheitsbild verantwortliche Nidus ist meist von einer spindelförmigen Osteosklerose umgeben. Klinisch ist die nächtliche Schmerzsymptomatik typisch, die therapeutisch gut auf Azetylsalizylsäure (Aspirin) anspricht.
