Zusammenfassung
Radioaktives Gallium (72Ga; später 67Ga) wurde ursprünglich für die Skelettszintigraphie eingesetzt. Durch Zufallsbefunde wurde eine Anreicherung von Gallium in Tumoren (Edwards u. Hayes 1969) und in entzündlichen Prozessen (Lavender et al. 1971) beobachtet. Heute wird die Galüumszintigraphie (GSz) zur Tumordiagnostik, mehr allerdings noch zur Diagnostik entzündlicher Prozesse verwendet (Botsch 1985 a, b).
