Zusammenfassung

Mit dem Durchtrennen der Nabelschnur bei der Geburt wird der bis dahin kontinuierliche Nährstofffluß zum Neugeborenen abrupt unterbrochen. In der Folge kommt es zum Abfall aller Substrate im kindlichen Blut. Dies läßt sich am Beispiel der Glukose besonders anschaulich demonstrieren.
