Summary

Various forms of ovarian failure are classified based on the actual endocrinological profile with respect to diagnostic and therapeutic options. Resulting therapy of infertility caused by ovarian failure should be approached stepwise after sufficient diagnostics and a clear indication. Costs and risks have to be taken into consideration. The therapeutic steps comprise the application of prolactininhibitors, thyroide hormones, corticoids, antiestrogens, gonadotropins, GnRH as well as GnRH-agonists.

Zusammenfassung

Die verschiedenen Formen der Ovarialinsuffizienz werden basierend auf dem aktuellen Hormonstatus in ein therapieorientiertes Schema eingeteilt. Die sich daraus ergebende Therapie der durch Ovarialinsuffizienz bedingten Sterilität sollte nach einer exakten Indikationsstellung stufenweise unter Berücksichtigung von Aufwand und Risiko erfolgen. Die therapeutische Bandbreite umfaßt dabei den Einsatz von Prolaktinhemmern, Schilddrüsenhormonen, Glucocorticoiden, AntiÖstrogenen, Gonadotropinen, GnRH sowie GnRH- Agonisten.
