Zusammenfassung
Im Laufe der vergangenen 10 Jahre ist das Interesse an intrakraniellen EEG-Ableitungen mit Hilfe von subduralen Streifen sowie subduralen („grids“) und intrazerebralen „Tiefenelektroden“ beträchtlich gewachsen. Dieses Interesse ist durch die Einführung neuer Monitoring- und bildgebender Techniken angeregt worden, die diagnostische Probleme der fokalen Epilepsien klärten und gleichzeitig neue diagnostische Möglichkeiten eröffneten, die weit über die Grenzen der üblichen extrakraniellen Elektroenzephalographie hinausgingen. Wahrscheinlich wird noch einige Zeit vergehen, bis man sich über Indikation sowie Vor- und Nachteile dieser verschiedenen Verfahrensweisen einig ist. Einige wesentliche Voraussetzungen für eine angemessene intrakranielle Aufzeichnungstechnik sind anatomische Genauigkeit, ausreichende Erfassung des Gehirnvolumens und niedrige Morbidität.
