Zusammenfassung
Die Beschäftigung mit den psychischen Problemen in der Folge von chronischer Erkrankung hat in den letzten 10 Jahren nicht nur im Bereich theoretischer Konzep-tualisierungen, sondern auch bei der Entwicklung psychotherapeutischer Angebote verstärkte Aufmerksamkeit gefunden. Dies hängt zum einen mit der Erkenntnis zusammen, daß die Fortschritte im medizinischtechnologischen Bereich nicht zwangsläufig von verringerten psychischen Belastungen begleitet wurden. Zum anderen konnte die Einführung kurzer und verhaltensmedizinisch orientierter Therapieverfahren in dem zumeist naturwissenschaftlich orientierten Denkmodell der Somatomedizin neue Aufmerksamkeit gewinnen.
