Die Ursachen der Obstipation und Stuhlinkontinenz können häufig nur durch eine Kombination von Untersuchungstechniken erkannt werden. Dieses Kapitel soll den Nutzen der verschiedenen Untersuchungstechniken bei der klinischen Untersuchung des Patienten mit Obstipation und Stuhlinkontinenz aufzeigen. Aus praktischen Gründen werden Obstipation und Inkontinenz getrennt besprochen.
