Zusammenfassung
Elektromyographische Untersuchungen der Muskeln des Beckenbodens mit den in der klinischen Neurophysiologie üblichen Methoden beschränken sich auf die quergestreiften Muskeln. Sie erfassen also nicht die glatte Muskulatur wie den inneren analen Sphinkter. Weiterhin sind die Sensibilität bzw. die Funktion sensibler Fasern nur indirekt zu beurteilen. Dies erfolgt über die Bestimmung der Latenzen von polysynapti-schen Reflexen oder die Ableitung von sensiblen evozierten Potentialen auf peripheren Reiz, meist mit Ableitung der cerebralen Reizantworten. Die spinalen Reizantworten sind nämlich in der klinischen Routine oft nicht ausreichend zuverlässig zu erhalten.
