Abstract
The tricuspid valve involved with bacterial endocarditis can often undergo excision of the affected segment with subsequent reconstruction as opposed to total excision and replacement with a prosthesis. This was carried out quite effectively in seven patients. Reconstruction is the procedure of choice for treatment of endocarditis of the tricuspid valve.
