Zusammenfassung

Vom primären Hyperaldosteronismus (= Conn-Syndrom) spricht man bei einer autonomen, primär von der NNR selbst ausgehenden exzessiven Aldosteronproduktion. Es handelt sich um eine seltene Erkrankung, deren Inzidenz bei Erwachsenen wohl unter 1/5000 liegt. Im Kindesalter sind weltweit sogar nur ca. 20 Fälle bekannt. Schätzungsweise 0,5% der arteriellen Hypertonien lassen sich auf einen primären Hyperaldosteronismus zurückführen.
