Some Experiences with the LTN-72 Aircraft Platform in Terrestrial Applications

High Precision Navigation

Abstract

The LTN-72 aircraft platform was tested on two courses of the Odenwald test- area, with the inertial system being mounted in a Mercedes Unimog van. The experiences gained with the INS (Inertial Navigation System) data-registration and -processing, rather than in the evaluation of the analog vertical acceleration signal of the platform, are presented. Furthermore the results of the post-processing of two missions on the same profile are compared.
