Summary
A Ku-band radar altimeter for a spacecraft or an aircraft is under development at INS. The main design features are the high accuracy, real time measurement, solid state integrated subsystems and a high degree of flexibility for versatile applications. A detailed description of the system — microwave subsystem, the microstrip scanning antenna and the signal processing — are given.
