Monte Carlo-Molecular Dynamics Simulation in Two-Dimensional Spin Systems

Abstract

In a previous report, using a combined Monte Carlo-molecular dynamics technique, we have investigated the dynamic structure factor S(q,w) on a square lattice for the isotropic Heisenberg and planar ferromagnetic Hamiltonian with nearest neighbor interaction. We have obtained dynamical signatures of the Kosterlitz-Thouless transition in the XY model case [1, 2]. More recently, we have also discussed the vortex signatures in dynamic structure factors for two-dimensional easy-plane ferromagnets [3].
