The Frequency Dependence of the AC Susceptibility in Spin Glasses

Abstract

We investigate the behavior of spin glasses in an external AC field by means of the dynamical ‘naive’ mean field (NMF) equations
$$\tau (d{{m}_{i}}/dt) = - {{m}_{i}} + \tanh (\beta {{\sum }_{j}}{{J}_{{ij}}} + \beta {{h}_{{ac}}}\cos (\upsilon t))$$

with infinitely long-ranged interactions whose distribution is Gaussian. The mean is zero and the variance J/N1/2, where N is the number of spins.
