Abstract

Various complex systems are known to have a number of metastable states which are separated from each other by large barriers. It is obvious that the multi-valleyed landscape makes the system very glassy because there exist wide-spread time scales. Therefore the structural property of the landscape is important for an understanding of the long-time behavior of these systems.
