Abstract
It is well known that spin glass (SG)- and reentrant spin glass (RSG)- behavior can be observed not only in dilute but also in concentrated 3d-alloy systems. As examples we show in Fig. 1 the magnetic phase diagrams of the ternary systems in the fee γ-range FeNiCr /1,2/, FeNiMn /3–6/ and FeCoMn /7,8/ as compiled from data in the literature and our own experimental investigations. As one can see all three systems show ferromagnetic (FM) and antiferromagnetic (AF) order in certain composition, regions. The concentration dependence of the respective Curie temperatures Tc and Néel temperatures TN projected into the basal plane are given by the full lines in Fig. 1. In between the two types of ordered phases one finds pure SG-regions (dotted in Fig. 1) and RSG-regions (hatched in Fig. 1), with transition temperatures Tf<Tc, TN. Similar ternary magnetic phase diagrams can be established for other combinations of 3d-elements.
