Zusammenfassung

Die Schmerzäußerung eines krebskranken Kindes ist in jedem Fall ernstzunehmen, und es ist ihr nachzugehen. Erfahrungsgemäß sind vorgetäuschte Beschwerden bei diesem Krankenkollektiv äußerst selten [10]. Auch fühlen Kinder Schmerzen nicht weniger als Erwachsene, da eine komplette Myelinisierung für die Überleitung schmerzhafter Impulse nicht erforderlich ist [14]. Im Gegenteil, einige Studien belegen sogar, daß je jünger ein Kind ist, desto empfindlicher reagiert es auf Schmerzen [2].
