Vor 60 Jahren schrieb der amerikanische Behaviorist J. B. Watson:
„Geben Sie mir ein Dutzend gesunde, wohlgeformte Säuglinge und dazu meine eigene, von mir selbst in allen ihren Merkmalen festgelegte Welt, um sie darin zu erziehen, und ich garantiere Ihnen, daß ich jeden dieser Säuglinge nach rein zufälli¬ger Auswahl zu jeder Art von Spezialisten ausbilden könnte — zum Arzt, Rechtsan¬walt, Künstler, Kaufmann oder sogar zum Bettler oder Dieb; ohne Rücksicht auf seine Talente, Vorlieben, Neigungen, Fähigkeiten, Anlage oder Rasse“ (vgl.
