Zusammenfassung

Der Stand der neuropsychologischen Therapie in der Rehabilitation wird am Beispiel der Behandlungen von Konzentrations- und Gedächtnisstörungen erläutert. Dabei wird die Verbindung zwischen den mehr theoretischen Konzepten der wissenschaftlichen Neuropsychologie und den eher praktischen Bedürfnissen der Therapie hergestellt und Probleme der Anwendbarkeit werden beleuchtet.

Die Schwierigkeit der Evaluierung dieser Behandlungen läßt den Wunsch nach mehr kontrollierten Einzelfallstudien aufkommen, um die Effizienz neuropsycholo- gischer Behandlungen zukünftig besser bewerten zu können.

Summary

The present status of neuropsychologically oriented therapy and rehabilitation is illustrated with examples from the treatment of deficits in concentration and memory, bridging the gap between the more theoretical concepts and constructs of scientific neuropsychology and the more practical concerns of the therapeutic community.

Difficulties inherent in evaluating such forms of treatment reveal the usefulness of more and better-controlled single case studies, which could offer help in judging questions of efficiency.
